January 2023Community And just like that, another year has come to an end! We are so grateful for this year & all the growth Parkway had in 2022. It’s time to set those New Year’s Resolutions and kick it into gear! In this Parkway Post, you will find some yummy recipes and some local Chico businesses to help jump-start your new year, new me goals.

In true Chico fashion Cycle Thirty-Three all started in the owner’s home garage in 2019. Mandy the owner found inspiration in a cycle class in Southern California and wanted to bring that type of cycle gym to Chico. She had a vision and with passion and determination opened this amazing studio located in the heart of northern Chico. Offering a variety of classes at various times. If you are looking for a fire workout and a bonus of community, this is the spot for you! They want all their rides to be high-energy meditation; an opportunity to get lost in the music, feel every beat, and tap into the power of our mind and body!

Healthy U Pilates

Healthy U Pilates and Yoga Studio located on Mangrove, offers a variety of full-spectrum services. All the teachers are comprehensively trained and most are also certified through Pilates Method Alliance or Yoga Alliance. The classes offered are multilevel and tailored to meet all skill levels, they also offer beginner classes along with personal training classes. They offer pilates and yoga and provide Physical Therapy ranging from orthopedics, pilates rehab, yoga therapy, and so much more!

Sweet Fitness Kickboxing

Sweet Fitness Kickboxing is a gym located on E. 9th Street in Chico. The owner, Cody, has a motto, “Looks good, Feel Good, Fight Good”. They are 100% beginner friendly, every class is led by a coach who will tell and show you exactly what to do, they have 36 professional punching bags and there is no shared equipment, so you are only in contact with yourself the entirety of the class. This is a place you can come and never feel lost or unmotivated with the help of their friendly staff who is guiding you every step of the way.
