The use of QR codes has greatly increased as technology continues to advance. To familiarize everyone, a QR code is a small square printed onto menus, flyers, or brochures that you scan with your phone’s camera. Once you scan the code, your phone redirects you to the promoted website. QR codes in real estate have recently made an appearance. QR codes placed on mail-out flyers are paired with photographs of the listings; once you scan the code you are redirected to a website that can provide additional information on the home and features like virtual tours or 3D models.

Virtual tours are a new trend in the real estate industry. These tours can be filmed with or without an agent leading you through the house. This is a great tool for buyers looking to purchase homes in far-away areas, or to even just a get a clear idea of a home before touring it in person. Virtual tours are great sources of content for social media that capture engagement by viewers which means homes with virtual tours will have a higher viewership. There are many different styles for presenting virtual tour videos which can be a bonus when you’re working with unique properties and want to highlight their specific attributes.
