TJ Farms, Chico 

Their patch is one of a kind! After planting in late June, the pumpkin patch is left untouched until harvest, creating a delightful surprise for guests on opening day. Visitors will be among the first to discover pumpkins that have never been seen—even by the farmers! With a pair of clippers and one of the charming buckboard wagons, guests can explore the patch, where pumpkins remain attached to the vine, showcasing how they grow. Each year, the farmers hand-select a variety of unique pumpkins, including Krona’s, Warty Goblins, Bus Stop, Polar Bear, Blue Dolls, Cinderella, Porcelain Princes, Howdens, and Naked Bears, ensuring there’s something special for everyone. And it doesn’t stop there; the farm also grows winter vegetables, Indian corn, gourds, and more, making it the perfect fall destination for seasonal fun and farm-fresh finds!

The farm is gearing up for a month of fall fun, opening its doors on Friday, October 4th! Whether you’re a returning fan or visiting for the first time, there’s a delightful adventure waiting for everyone at the pumpkin patch. With the warm weather still hanging around, don’t forget your water and sun protection! And while the farm loves furry friends, please leave your pets at home—no pets allowed on the premises.

As you make your way to the patch, take it slow down Liberty Lane to be courteous to the neighbors! Parking is a little different this season; follow the signs down the driveway, and remember—no street parking allowed! Hours of operation are as follows: Fridays from 2 PM to 6 PM, Saturdays from 10 AM to 6 PM, and Sundays from 10 AM to 4 PM. Country Pumpkins, Orland 

Located on Highway 32, approximately 10 miles west of Chico and 4 miles east of Orland, Country Pumpkins offers a fun and unique family-friendly adventure. Spanning five acres, the pumpkin patch features over 20 varieties of pumpkins and gourds in all shapes and sizes. Visitors can also enjoy a ten-acre corn maze, a delightful petting zoo with friendly goats and bunnies, and a hay pyramid complete with a slide for the little ones.
