Chico, California. A town that stands out due to its natural beauty, history and prevalent sense of community. A town that once looked like it was out of a scene of a vintage cowboy movie, now transformed into a place filled with creativity and good spirit, where many are lucky to call it home. Surrounded by nature, parks and natural wonders, with deep rooted history and community. The friendliness, charm, and overall atmosphere are just a few of the things that makes this place feel special.For this week’s Parkway Post Newsletter we wanted to share our agent’s unique insight on why they chose to call Chico home, some local businesses we love, and adventures we look forward to as the weather warms up! Chico is a small town that is easily accessible and you can randomly run into people you know when out and about. In bigger cities you lose that sense of community and you may never run into someone you know.Another added bonus is all the nature here…and of course the trees!!

Chico helps create a more down to earth lifestyle that can be hard to achieve in big cities. That small town feeling is unbeatable especially when you run simple errands, odds are you run into a friendly face.

Stephanie and Hobie Jensen both attended California State University, Chico. After college the couple tied the knot and thought, there’s no better place to call home.
